John Bambrick (b1866)
My great grand father, son of Robert Bambrick (b1827) & Jane Pratt (b1838), father of Eric Bambrick (b1893)
The above letter was sent from Ray to his sister Olive (Olive Miriam Bambrick, later Hodgson) (Great grandmother of Peter Hodgson, the most knowledgeable guitar aficionado Australia has ever produced)
I received these photos via my cousin, Judy Schramm, who is a very diligent and knowledgeable family historian. Thank you Judy!
Consider
There are various articles from 1890 about "John Bambrick and Henry Williams" being charged for stealing mutton. In some reports they are listed as "aboriginals" and in others as "half-castes".
I haven't decisively ruled out that the John Bambrick mentioned there is our Jack Bambrick, born 1866. Jack Bambrick would have been 23 years of age at that point in time.

In 1889, someone is selling "Fat Cattle" to John Bambrick, at the Melbourne Markets, (see The Australasian (Melbourne, Vic.) | Sat 19 Jan 1889 | Page 19 | MARKETS) — but I think this would be Jack's uncle, John Bambrick (b1832) who lived until 1893, or a different JB altogether.
