Psyops, short for Psychological Operations, are actions by government (or corporations) designed to modify the psychological state of one or more targets (even entire populations) often through subtle or covert means.

The term originated with the US government, but also has a mythic power, and is sometimes adopted by people experiencing intense paranoia, by proponents of wide-ranging conspiracy theories, or by targeted individuals (TI).

By their very nature, you can't disprove that any given effects are due to PSYOPs.
