Aleatoricism is the incorporation of {chance|randomness|random chance} into the {process of creation|creative process|creation of any work}.

A "deterministic" process is one where the {final result|result|outcome} is entirely determined by the {starting|initial} inputs. A system may provide a fixed framework and allow for randomness within the framework, or it may be entirely random, without any over-arching framework.
